            WOW Gahwat Restaurant



The calamari is definitely not one of their best appertizers

Their Lobster dish is a must try. The best dish in their menu

I was a little disappointed by their ravioli
And of course, you guys already know I am not going to eat and not have anything sweet and this time I had the ENTIRE dessert menu, that is how great their dessert menu is.
But on a scale of 1-5 (1 being the best,5 being the worst);




 
The interior is innovative and creative,perhaps a little too much considering where it is located and perhaps who they are targeting that area, their menu prices are also on the step side.To be honest the location of the place is not ideal,however the food will make up for that part of the deal.
However on the night in question, their service was extremely poor, waiters had no clue which direction was East nor which items were what on the menu, you would think that they had been taken to training before opening right?
The waiters often brought wrong items to the table further cementing that they had no proper knowledge of what they were serving!

                           Review: The East India Company





My weakness for chocolate and all finer things led me to Th east India Company located at the Grand Avenue right at the entrance of the Souk.



They have some really chic tea and coffee accessories as well as amazing chocolates to try.

REVIEW: FASHION TV CAFE,KUWAIT



I went over to the Fashion TV Cafe (Salmiya, Al Bidaa) this weekend for a meeting and then later treated my starving fashion self to a scrumptious lunch there! I loved the chic interiors,glamorous decor and plus they had some mannequins for me to play with while there,lol.
My friend and I ordered the shrimp ceasar salad to share then for my main course I had the seafood platter which came with lobster,fish and prawns. 
The dish was delicious!


The food was fresh,well prepared and the service was great!
Thank God there was no sheesha smokers at the time so that made my experince extra special.
I'm recommending this restaurant to you guys!

I just found out about this today and I am so excited already just from what I heard and read, so I'm getting ready to go on my own 3 day detox program from victusfood!

Coconut Mango Banana Smoothie – Gluten-free, Vegan + Refined Sugar-free

Next time your using creating your skin care products blend yourself up this delightful smoothie and be natural on the inside as well as the out! Click below for the yummy recipe it may surprise you.



Serves 1
1 cup unsweetened almond milk / coconut milk blend (or any other non-dairy milk)
1 organic mango, sliced
1 organic banana, peeled
1 tablespoon maple syrup (or any other sweetener of your choice, dates, stevia, hone, raw sugar, etc)
1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil
1 handful of ice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes for topping, optional
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately. Sprinkle some coconut flakes on top, if you wish.

Who said you can't eat and be healthy? Bread and Butter?? Who would have thought!Take a look at these healthy sandwiches.

-Banana, Carrot and Apple Juice. 




Ingredients

  • 3/4 carrot (chopped to small cube)
  • 5 pieces of medium size banana (cut to small pieces)
  • 2 small fuji apple (cut to small pieces)
  • 500ml low fat milk
  • A handful of ice
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make it

  • Mixed everything (except of ice) in the blender. Blend till everything is well mixed.
  • Add in the ice and blend for 10 seconds.
