Fashion Scoop: Tom Ford Gets Married, Atelier Swarovski Goes Into Fine Jewelry, Beyonce Covers OUT

Nothing feels better that reading a fresh batch of fashion news! And one better is when you start with good news!

Tom Ford Gets Married

We were excited to learn that Tom Ford has finally married his long term partner, 27 years to be exact.
In his characteristically blasé fashion, designer Tom Ford, 52, announced his marriage to long time partner Richard Buckley, 66.
'We are married now, which is nice,' he simply said.
The news came during a conversation with British journalist, Lady Kinvara Balfour, at London's Regent Street Apple store, during which he flashed a gold wedding ring to the audience.
Mr Ford went on to explain: 'I lost so many friends in college - I would say more than half of my closest friends. Richard, my partner of 27 years, had also gone through something also quite tough in his life.'
The couple, who welcomed son Alexander, their first child together, into the world in September 2012, met at a fashion show in 1986 and Tom Ford has spoken openly of his instant attraction to the former Vogue Hommes editor.

Atelier Swarovski Goes Into Fine Jewelry
Atelier Swarovski is entering the world of fine jewelry with some help from an old friend, Matthew Campbell Laurenza, who first collaborated with the brand in 2012 with his Jeweled Garden sculptures. The fine jewelry collection, also titled Jeweled Garden, extends the sculptures into what Campbell Laurenza describes as “wearable art. The theme is a parallel universe to our reality where insects and flora rule the world and humans are just spectators.

The collection, comprised of eight rings, four bracelets and three necklaces, features semiprecious and precious Swarovski gemstones, including multicolor sapphires, amethyst, rodolite garnets, spinel and topaz, all set in 18-karat gold. Each piece is one-of-a-kind.
The collection will be carried exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman beginning today, with prices ranging from $8,750 to $118,000.

Beyonce Covers Out Magazine
On the cover of Out magazine's annual May Power Issue (on newsstands April 22) is one of the most powerful women in music: Beyoncé Knowles.
The singer, who defied traditional marketing tactics late last year when she released her surprise self-titled video album, is the perfect representation of what it means to be powerful. She’s poised, she’s commanding, and she does it all at her own pace.
Like any powerful person, there’s an army of supporters who follow. Aaron Hicklin, Out magazine’s editor in chief, got unprecedented access inside Parkwood Entertainment, the camp that makes up “team Beyoncé” in order to learn just how the singer landed the industry’s biggest coup.
On Tuesday, April 8, the singer takes over the site with exclusive remixes, never-before-seen photos, and interviews with some of the most powerful people in the industry.
#BeyOut will have fans bowing down to the “XO” singer.
