FASHION SCOOP:Atelier Swarovski,Marc Jacobs,Naomi Campbell

Atelier Swarovski has announced plans to launch their first in-house line. Swarovski has worked on apparel with several designers in the past (Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane, and Nicholas Kirkwood are just a few,) but this will be the first time they produce a collection all their own. The range will include a selection of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and more. Prices start at $120, going up to $1,200. (WWD)

Rumors that Marc Jacobs is leaving Louis Vuitton have cropped up once again. The designer is reportedly not going to renew his contract at the label he’s helmed for the past 16 years, and according to French magazine Challenges, the folks at Vuitton have already approved his exit. A source tells Reuters that Nicholas Ghesquière is already in the running to take Jacobs’s place upon his impending departure, although “nothing has been decided yet.” (Vogue UK)

Catwalk queen, Naomi Campbell is pleased today about the number of black models who walked the Spring 2014 collections this season. The supermodel has been an active and vocal supporter of the Diversity Coalition, who for all of fashion month have been speaking out about the lack of black models on the runway. “I’ve seen a huge change this season already,” Campbell said. “Giorgio Armani used four models of colour in his show, and a model of colour opened his show, which is something that I haven’t seen in a very long time. Jil Sander did; I’m naming names because this is a big improvement.” But like the rest of us, she hopes this sort of inclusion continues even without pressure from the Diversity Coalition: “We don’t want this to be a trend; that designers begin using models of colour just because we are raising our voices,” she added.“We hope they will keep doing it and we’re going to keep raising our voices until they do. It’s a long-term plan.” (Vogue UK)
