CHIC SCOOP: Karl Lagerfield Eyewear, Rita Ora, Rick Owens



Isn't it strange how Rita Ora has barely made a dent in the Billboard music charts, but that’s not keeping her from raking in the fashion coins. The crooner confirmed via Instagram that she is the new face for Madonna‘s Material Girl line, captioning a photo of herself and Madge with “Joining forces with Madonna & Lola! It’s Official Ritabots – I’m the new face of@MaterialGirl.” What do you think of the new appointment? (@ritaora).


Rick Owens is trying his capable hand at athletic wear for a collaboration with Adidas. The designer created a line of men’s and women’s running shoes due in stores this December. The altogether 10-style range will have six options for men and four for women. Naturally, Owens kept in mind the sort of thing he would wear on a run, particularly footwear that does not resemble “big chunky basketball shoes — I’d look like a dinosaur running through the Tuileries.” Indeed. If you’ve got a taste (read: money) for expensive athletic gear, they’ll be available for $400-$500 (WWD)

Introducing Karl Lagerfeld‘s sunglass range, designed to, in the gentleman’s own words, “balance ugly faces and they make beautiful faces more beautiful.”
