BEAUTY BAR: Essential Spring Skincare Tips

The season of severe heat is upon us in Kuwait. And with season change comes new ways to take care of our skin!
I have different skincare routines for each season according to it's demands,so should you. Here are a few of my tips.

1)  Lighter moisturizer
Drop your Winter moisturizer because chances are it will be too heavy on your skin during the hot temperatures of Spring/Summer. I have just started using a gel version of my favorite moisturizer to lighten things on my face I got it from Sephora at the Avenues Mall (Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel). It does feel lighter than regular moisturizer and yo will feel it too.

2) Bare Minerals Deep Cleansing Foam. 

In the past few months I have tried to go with the least amount of make up on my face (Dr's orders). With all the makeup we put on our faces and all the environmental elements I prefer a gentle yet effective cleanser to help rid my skin of dirt. Bare Minerals Deep Cleansing Foam leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. I also got this from Sephora at the Avenues Mall.
Have you noticed how acne and skin irritation leaves dark spots on your skin? Well you need a spotlight type of skin lighter to fade these spots and gives you the perfect skin tone over time. (I will not recommend a specific product for this accept that please see your dermatologist first esp more if you suffer from acne before using any over the counter products-that's what I did)
4) Sunscreen
The truth is that you should be wearing sunscreen year-round, but especially now that I’m out more often and the sun here in Kuwait isn't friendly at all, I use one that is easy to reapply throughout the day and does not intefere with my make up. I prefer one's that come with a brush applicator. And because I have dry skin I use Peter Thomas Roth Mineral Sunscreen (It comes in other formulas as well).I also got it from Sephora.

5) Steam
Once a week I steam. You know how they say a good sweat  a great way to detoxify the body and skin; well this is true! So go to the spa or your gym and spend a little time in the sauna. It's sad that not a large number of women's gym's offer this is in Kuwait so you may end up going to a hotel.
Of course, it goes without saying that you must keep your skin hydrated.Drink lots and lots of water; the bathroom trips are annoying but worth it. Try to have several fruits as well during your day.
